The buzz around Max Dowman is undeniable. This Arsenal prodigy, barely old enough to drive, is already on the radar of England's U21 coach, Lee Carsley. And he's not alone; Manchester United's Shea Lacey, another exceptional talent, is also being closely monitored. Carsley himself acknowledged Dowman's potential, stating, "He’s a player that we’re monitoring. Sometimes that talent, we have to accelerate it so quickly because of the challenge they are getting at their clubs."
He continued, "It’s important that we keep in mind how young Max is and we are fully aware of him. We get all of the feedback from the camps that he plays on and there is definitely time. He’ll definitely get his chance within the U21s."

Dowman isn't the only Premier League youngster turning heads. It's the job of England's coaches to identify and nurture every promising talent, and Manchester United's Shea Lacey certainly fits that bill.
Lacey has been impressing within the Manchester United youth system, even making his debut for the U20 side during an international break in October. This skillful winger, known for his pace and dribbling ability, is currently 18 years old.
Carsley commented on Lacey, saying, "He’s been in the pathway a good amount of time now and he’s a player that we rate highly. It worked out well that we needed that position for the training we were doing and Shea was more than happy to come over and train with the Under-21s."
He added, "You can see he’s a good talent. I know he’s struggled with injuries in the past, which has probably held back his development, but I think it’s so important we don’t rush these young players, we let them develop in their own time. I think he trained two sessions with us and I enjoyed having him."

Senior Caps: Dowman & Lacey Tipped to Reach the Top
Lacey, a Liverpool native, has already played for England at the U15, U16, U17, and U20 levels. The U21s would be the natural next step, and Carsley and his team are committed to ensuring he gets the right development and opportunities to prove himself. And this is the part most people miss... it's not just about talent, but about the right environment and support system.
Many believe it's only a matter of time before Lacey gets a chance with the Manchester United first team under Ruben Amorim. United has a long and proud history of promoting academy graduates, giving young players a chance to shine on the biggest stage.
The same is true for Arsenal, where Dowman is the latest in a long line of promising youngsters to emerge from their academy. He's already played in the Premier League and Champions League, and who knows, he might even win silverware this season.
